Zm freight train with class De2/2 motor car at the FREUDENREICH show layout
Scenery at the FREUDENREICH Surava-layout
Foreword
Zm is the 1000 mm narrow gauge model railroad of Z-scale 1:220 running at 4,5 mm tracks. For this smallest narrow gauge railroad FREUDENREICH FEINWERKTECHNIK makes rolling stock scaled from prototypes of the Rhaetian Railway Grisons/Switzerland. Matching to our cars and locos the company ASPEN MODEL offers a complete assortment of sectional tracks.

Ge4/6 electric
The production of this loco model requires high tooling and design cost. The current customer's desire is still too low for a soonest release. We have moved this project to the "back burner".

When the Swiss RhB decided the electrification of their rail network at the beginning of the last century the class Ge4/6 electric - a heavy multipurpose four axle electric was included to their first loco supply schedule. For many years these locos were responsable for the main traction duties of the RhB.

The FREUDENREICH- model is an exactly copy of the prototype and has a special designed precission drive with Faulhaber-motor and fly wheel. The main frame is CNC- milled.
Special drilling jigs allow high accuracy and a proper operation of the gear. The design of the housing shell is based on etched parts from nickel silver and stainless steel with ad-on part in brass investment casting.
Freight railcar class De 2/2 151 of the RhB

A new release featuring the actual steel sheet body and single arm panto is scheduled for a later date.
